Your cattery will need to be installed onto a concrete base which needs to be in place prior to our arrival. Whilst we don’t lay the base ourselves, we do provide you with the critical dimensions, a full specification for it and, whenever possible, speak with your builder to ensure your base will be absolutely square and level. Each sleeping compartment in your cattery comes with its own floor covered in a warm vinyl but your concrete base will form the flooring for your exercise area and safety corridor. You have a number of options when it comes to the finished look of your concrete.
The cheapest and most popular option is to paint the concrete which looks particularly smart using a country cream or brighter colours for a more modern look. The down side to using paint is having to touch up and reapply on the heavy traffic areas such as doorways.
Tiling your base prior to our arrival is the most expensive option but it will be maintenance free and always look spectacular. If you decide on this option, make sure whoever lays your tiles brings the grout in between as level as possible with the tiles to prevent hair and litter traps.
Another option worth exploring is an Epoxy resin floor screed which is extremely easy to clean and looks very glamorous and high end.
Whichever flooring you choose for your cattery do remember to make sure it’s non slip!
