Becoming a foster parent to a homeless cat can be a very rewarding experience.

Foster care for cats basically requires patience, a compassionate nature, a flexible lifestyle and some experience with and knowledge of cat behaviour.

If you have space in your garden, a foster pen will be provided by your branch with all food, litter and vets bills supplied and paid for as well as full support from your branch co-ordinator.

Your time will be spent grooming and socialising the cats. Once a cat is ready for re-homing, you will welcome prospective new families to your home to meet the cat.

Once you have been accepted onto the foster scheme, your branch will order your pen and we will take everything from there for you – liaising with you on all aspects regarding your new pen. A typical installation of one pen takes approximately three hours and once your pen is in place, we take time to show you around and familiarise you with all its features.

A standard 4ft Chalet will take up approximately 13ft x 4ft of space and fosterers think our pens compliment their gardens beautifully.
